Robots, one of the hottest topics in 2019, have begun to penetrate into all walks of life.  How to interact with digital signal and physical reality,  driven by new media art, we explored the innovation  between music, light and robots.

This is a work made during the workshop held by Robotic Lab D&I college of Tongji University. We got a lot of support from Kangyi Zheng. The workshop invited Curime Severin Batliner, Principal of the SCI-Arc Robot House, and Yuening Cai, an artist of Metasonar. We used the robotic arm and mechanical devices to interact  with SOUND and LIGHT.

“Black Noise” is a conceptual album program of the label Metasonar. All the sounds in this album are transformed from white noise. As a long-term program, the first album 「Black Noise|Vol. I-Origins」 is produced by ΛNGELVS - the founder of the label, mixed and mastered by the label’s co-founder D-2. Inspired by the epic “Paradise Lost” by John Milton, this album accentuated the unique materiality and the infinite potentials of white noise.
